About me!

After being in management for the better part of 22 years and conducting thousands of interviews, I became aware of just how many people struggle during the interview process.  I could tell with-in the first minute of meeting an applicant how the interview would unfold.  The signs were always the same:

A weak handshake during the introduction
  Lack of eye contact
  Slouching in the chair
  Fidgeting
Brief or short answers to my questions
Unable to explain gaps in his/her resume
Not prepared to give me examples or situations that
       would corroborate an answer given
Unclear about what he/she wanted to achieve during
       employment with the company

As a manager, and being in the business of reading people, these actions told me that the applicant was unprepared for the interview.  As nice as these interviewees were, being unprepared for the interview lead me to believe that he/she would carry the same lack of preparedness into my business.

I’ve spent years researching the interview process and applying innovative techniques to the art of interviewing.  As a result, I have created a practical “Real World” approach to interviewing with emphasis in the following areas:

  Job Search Tips & Techniques
  Proper Job Application Completion
Cover Letters To Get You Noticed
  Winning Resumes
  Interview Preparation/ Mock Interviews
Leaving A Lasting Impression On Your Interviewer
  Proper Interview Attire
Calming Your Nerves Before The Interview
  Questions To Ask The Interviewer
  Thank You Letters
  Salary Negotiations
You Are The Product, Selling Yourself During
  The Interview

It is my goal to change the way my clients look at the interview process by educating them with the numerous tips and techniques I have mastered throughout my career.  My approach has helped countless people over the years and with every success, my passion for interview coaching continues to grow.

My Passion!

"You don't know your options until
you explore your possibilities."

I’m not sure when my passion for interview coaching came about.  I do know that I’ve always had a passion for helping people.

As my career as a hiring manager began to thrive, I became increasingly more discouraged with the lack of interview skills my perspective employees possessed.

As a result, about 15 years ago, I began to integrate coaching (before I was aware of coaching as a profession) into my interviews in the hopes that the people I turned away would approach their next interview opportunity in a completely different way.

The years passed and I began to study and learn everything I could about the interview process.  I also began receiving invitations to speak to groups of people on interview techniques and skills, and to conduct mock interviews with personal critique.  I had great success with this.

As the offers for my services began to grow, so did my passion.  I felt such a tremendous sense of fulfillment every time I helped someone get a job, or discover a new career path.  That was when I realized the importance of interview coaching.

There were many career paths I could have taken and  many topics I could have taught, but I kept coming back to the one thing that drove me the most, helping people find a job or career change that made them happy and usually offered them more money.

I realized that interview coaching gave me something that I wasn’t able to get any other way…the chance to improve other peoples lives!
